The OMNIS journey began more than 17 years ago in Mozambique, where our founding practice was established under a different brand as a law firm duly approved and regulated by the Mozambique Bar Association.
From the beginning, the practice was built around a clear principle: clients need advice that is legally sound, commercially practical and adapted to the realities of the markets in which they operate.
Over the years, our team developed a strong client base comprising local companies, public institutions, financial-sector entities, international investors and businesses from South Africa and other parts of the world.
As our clients became increasingly international, their needs extended beyond conventional legal services. They required support with market entry, regulatory approvals, corporate governance, risk management, compliance, negotiations, institutional engagement, immigration and cross-border business development.
This evolution led to the establishment of OMNIS Legal Advisory SA in South Africa.
Johannesburg was selected as the Group’s regional headquarters because of its position as one of Africa’s leading financial, legal and commercial centres. South Africa provides a strategic platform from which OMNIS can support clients across Southern Africa and progressively extend its operating model to other African regions.
Mozambique remains central to our identity and strategy. Our long-standing experience, established relationships and deep knowledge of the Mozambican legal and business environment give our clients privileged access to opportunities between Mozambique, South Africa and international markets.
Our South African platform is therefore not a departure from Mozambique. It is the next stage of our growth: a regional structure built on strong Mozambican foundations and designed to connect Africa with the wider world.
